I'm still confused...People here use Ahoj (pronounced as Ahoy) and Ciao (pronounced as Chao) when they greet people... Although I am aware that Ciao is used when bidding goodbye... It didn't take long for me to realize that it is pretty much like Aloha... You use it for either hello or goodbye...
And Ahoj? I don't know...
But there's something special about this Ahoj... There's a right way of saying it... And I find it really cute...
So now we have come up with a game... If someone says chips, you have to say Ahoj...
Chips... Ahoj!
