Math... And More!

I'm hooked on NUMB3RS... Doing the old marathon... Midway through Season 2... This is a geeky series...But it's actually fun watching something that exposes what you've wasted most of your life on... Well, at least for me... Been studying math since kindergarten... Learning physics since high school... Working through ethics and philosophical logic since college... Geeky...
Here's a question that Larry posed at the onset of Season 1: "Why is it that we can remember the past and not the future?" Anyone who'd care to answer? Great... Just shows you'd have much time at your disposal... But really, apart from the wordplay, fortune-telling isn't everyone's cup of tea...
Anyway, this seems like a good advice for all those people who over-analyze things that needn't be...
Larry: You tried to solve a problem involving human behavior and it blew up on your face.
Charlie: Yeah, pretty much.
Larry: You are a mathematician, you are always looking for the elegant solution. Human behavior is rarely, if ever, elegant.
There goes Joe D Mango's career...
