Thought Snacks - Q & A
Is it a crime to fall out of love?
When we said we loved each other I'm pretty sure we meant it.
But weren't we talking about how we felt right at that moment?
Is it the kind of thing you can predict?
Isn't it a little bit random?
Chemistry mixed up with the unknown?
How could we know that we'd always feel the same way about each other?
Doesn't having to love take away the incentive to love voluntarily?
Is it better that we put up with each other because we promised to do so...
Rather than cut ourselves free so we can love people we want to love rather than love out of a sense of obligation?
Am I asking a lot of questions?
Or is it just me?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But the answers are so few...
I don't know the answer to any of them.
I don't think anyone does.
I think that's why love is what it is: the most complicated, intense and indefinable emotion.
And yet without it... well, life wouldn't really be worth living, would it?
but ponggoloids dear, when you Desire to Love, then that is the voluntary push within you to Make a commitment to love, even when the passion seems to wane or be completely gone at times.
in other words, i think you plague yourself with a false dilemma or that you argue in circles: by asserting that staying true to a promise of commitment is opposite or antonymous to being with someone we want to love. if i followed your argument through to its logical conclusion, then you seem to be promoting polygamy or the typical male stigma of being afraid of commitment.
i don't think that's true in your case... unless unless unless... =)
touche...
petitio principii indeed...
i am the embodiment of the cliche that has long plagued women...
or am i not?
